Notorious POD: Are Agents Still at the Center of the Transaction? With Craig McClelland

Craig McClelland and I debate, and come to understanding

I am pleased to have captured this dialogue with Craig McClelland, President of Local Realty, CSO of Rayse, and a longtime leader in residential real estate brokerage. He is one of the smartest operators out there, and has worked with some major financial firms on major real estate related projects.

Craig wanted to debate me on the notion that agents are the center of the real estate transaction. From that springboard, we explore the impact of technology, changing consumer behavior, and the profitability challenges faced by brokerage models.

We get into the evolving role of real estate agents in light of technological advancements, particularly AI, as well as the importance of human relationships in real estate transactions, the changing dynamics of agent responsibilities, and the impact of market forces on agent efficiency. We deep dive into the perception of agents by consumers and the future of brokerage models in the industry.

The conversation began as a debate, but we reach common ground and understanding by the end. I think you will enjoy it.
