As some (many? most?) of you know, I used to be a strategy consultant in this space. While that isn’t my day job these days, I still have a lot of instincts that go towards advisory services.

Over the weekend, I got both an email from a reader as well as a personal chat with a friend, asking what brokers, agents, MLSs and Associations ought to do after the deluge. While I’ve given a number of presentations over the years on this exact topic, and “embrace the prepper mindset” has been a bit of a meme of my consulting work, I thought it might be useful to somebody out there if I put some of my thoughts into print. Please keep in mind that none of this is legal advice, and that I am not your managing broker, your consultant or your coach. Please talk to your own attorneys, advisors, and leadership about this. I write this with the hope that it may spur you to further thinking, further investigation, further preparation.

In this part, I’ll address what I believe agents and agent teams ought to do or at least think about doing in the new world of real estate that will take shape.
